SAD ASSESSMENT 8

Journal SAD:Busy schedule + DRSUS

     This month is a busy month for me because of the paper works that is needed to be written. Number one of this is the SAD project and we are sacrificing the weekend just to make projects. Another is in the multi media project which is the Audio Visual Presentation (AVP) of the usep which will be pass on February 3. Today is a holiday because its a Chinese new year and suppose to be that this will be holiday but again, we need to take this day to make recording for our multi media. I am also researching for the Android structure as an assessment for the Operating System Subject which will be pass on January 31 at 5 pm. The thing is that i have a hard time to start it because I'm thinking that the twenty source from the net is not totally reliable. I have a hard time to search for the source because the common thing that i can found is about the coding and the general structure of the Android. Our teacher told us to try the book from the library that she requested but we found nothing when we go there. I need to scan the notes in OS because this Friday, we will have to take the exam. It compose of multiple choice which seems to have no answer(LOL)..Another thing that put my mind into pressure is the project proposal for the CS research. I think a lot of topic but it seems that the topic i formulated was not visible for my skill. I want a topic that i know i can do it and it can be made with in one year. The last issue that makes my mind pre occupied is the issue about the DRSUS.
 
       The senator create a bill which i forgot but the thought is that the 5 university in region X1 will be merge as one. The USEP earn its title for the past decade because of the people behind it. USEP is on of the university that provide a good quality education with affordable price. The purpose of the bill is to resolve the budget issue for the government universities. If this bill will be approve, the name USEP will be history and we    now start from beginning. One thing that i hate most is that the people behind the didn't inform the public especially us students about the benefit of this bill. The officer of the university is trying to contact those people  but according to what i have read in one facebook page that the people behind it is very busy like doing a ribbon cutting. I wonder if they study this bill well and i also wonder is they conduct a SURVEY to the people who will be affected to the bill. I really want to say in the face of those people if did they enroll to the subject like system analysis and design that every move like they did must be study first and they need to survey first before doing something. One thing that make this government a zombie because some people don't have the proper mind to thing and voice to be heard. To all people out there, i want you to know that we suffer not because of those greedy politicians but because of the brilliant voice that remain in silence. Yes, i'm pointing my fingers in your face. Shame. .....

Use case for Enrollment Application

Actor: student,Ugto Employee

Scenario:

            The student enquires for enrollment application and the ugto will provide instruction and requirements. One of the requirement is the good moral from your previous school. The ugto will provide you a payment order slip for the cashier.

Use case for entrance exam payment

Actor: student, Cashier

Scenario:

            The student will show the slip that is being provided by the ugto and secure an amount for the entrance examination. The cashier will provide you an official receipt for the ugto later on.

Use case for verify exam schedule

Actor: student. Ugto

            You need to show your official receipt to the ugto as an evidence that you have pay for the examination and after verifying the OR. They will provide the schedule for the date of examination.

Use case for taking the exam

Actor: student, Ugto

Scenario:

            The ugto will provide a room for the list of student that will take the exam and the student. After showing the Official receipt for the evidence, the facilitator will give an instruction to the student and provide examination paper.

Use case for exam result

Actor: student, Ugto

Scenario:

            The ugto will publish a list of students that pass the examination or post it to the room where the student take the exam. The student can verify if they pass or not to proceed to the next step.

Use case for English bridge program enrollment

Actor: student,Ugto, Cashier and International Language(IL)

Scenario:

            The student who pass the exam will be interview by the Ugto staff and if they failed to pass the English test in the exam, they are oblige to take the English bridge program to enhance their skills in English subject. They need to pay 600 peso for the manual and another payment for the enrollment fee of the English bridge. The International language will provide the manual after paying an amount in the cashier. The ugto will provide a room and teacher.

Use case for english bridge program lecture proper

Actor: student, Teacher

Scenario:

            The teacher will verify if the student is enrolled to the english bridge program by viewing the receipt and class record. The teachers will required the student like project in order to pass the english bridge. After taking the program, the teacher will give you a certificate of completion as an evidence that you pass the program.

Journal : Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

      Last Thursday, me, Brian and Kevin went to city hall to send a letter asking for their system analyst and project manager. This is because our facilitator ask us to interview an analyst but the person we have interview didn't qualify for the requirements. After lending the letter to them, they said that they will just call us and after that day(Friday), someone call me that they have already read the letter and we can now conduct an interview. After that i take a bath, they call again and we can go today but after we get there, nothing happen and they said that the analyst is not there right now and we just go back to school. Saturday and Sunday is the day that we make our project and after making the project, we play games to get those stress moment out. Monday, we called to the city hall office and then they told us that the analyst is on medication and today, i called again and its all the same.

    Today, by browsing the net, a thought come into my mind. What if i will create a computer virus? after that i search for the virus and it caught my attention and i think its more interesting if i make one. Just for fun even thou its not a good act but the thing is i just want to learn. I will not do this because i want to heart people or piss people off but my interest push me to do it. I fount some serous virus that will destroy your computer and some funny virus that will restart your people. I just want to demonstrate it to my college friends. Tomorrow, i will try those learning of mine and see if it will work. The reason why i will not make today because im in my PC and it is dangerous .Im so mean T_T.

   

Journal: January 4,5,6 Class Report

     January 4 at 2PM, we started the discussion about the investigating system requirements. In the first reporter,  its very useful for me because it enlighten my mind about the gathering of data. It is useful when we are making our final project. This report is very critical because it tells about the correct approach when gathering data and one material to build a system is you need to have an accurate data gathering in order to make a good system. They also discuss about how to interview and what shall we do to be an effective interviewer when we want to know something about the information of a company. The things that stock inside my head about what the reporter told us is you need to have an eye to eye contact which i failed to do. Starting this time, i will assure that every interview that i will be make, i will try to look the eyes of the person who i am interviewing and try to show some interest. Be early in the meeting and don't let them wait and also, you need to shake his/her hands which i am shy to this.

   

           January 5, the next reporters topic are modeling systems requirements and the traditional approach to requirements. The reporter about modeling system, i really don't absorb the information that much. The traditional approach which i and Brian reported, is an approach in developing a system where you can only see the process and procedure but you cant see how the system does it. Some implementation of traditional approach is the dfd or data flow diagram. In DFD you can see the flow and structure of the system. Basically, by just looking in the diagram, you will know the limitation and the flow of the system. For me, its a simple way in showing the system structure to those people who are not deeply a technical person because its easy to understand.

          The last report is all about the object- Oriented Approach to Requirements and Evaluating alternative approach to requirements. Object oriented approach is a good approach when developing a system. It is more accurate method for me because the user will know every process and execution of the system. I also learn that we need to find alternative approach when developing a system and don't rely on one approach. It is more effective if you will combine those approach for a better output. We are currently developing a system right now and we are planning to use the traditional and small part of an object oriented approach. 

journal: Xmas(2011) and new Year(2012)

       My Christmas is a typical Christmas of a Filipino people. The difference between the last Christmas and new year is that my grandfather and grandmother are having a visit for a very long time here in Davao. I thought that the last time they visit here will be the last time that i will see them but I'm wrong.

      This Christmas, i failed to complete the "Simbang Gabi" tradition that i have consecutively completed for about 5  year straight. In the first day which started at 16, i try to get up and go to church but in the succeeding morning, i never thought that i cant get up because i am exhausted making the assessment in one of my subject. Starting that day, i never get up early and decided that i will complete it next time.

      This New Year, we celebrated it without a fire works. The city government mandated that no firework is allowed for the safety of everyone. To insure that all people in Davao will be caught because of violating the fire cracker ban, The Mayor and Vice mayor will give a reward for those who can point out someone who violate the rules. This rule is annoying from the start and its been 10 years since the mayor started it and we are now enjoying the benefit of fire cracker ban. You are not allow to burn your money anymore and for that, every body is happy.
